Considerations

Deals are rarely just player-for-player. Considerations — draft picks, cash, a future favor, a player to be named — ride along as free text on the proposal. Write them plainly so both GMs and the commissioner can see exactly what was agreed.

Considerations are honored on the honor system and enforced by the office if someone welshes. Salaries move with the players automatically; any cap figures shown are there to inform the deal, not to block it.
