The Trade Deadline

Your commissioner sets a trade deadline each season. Watch for the date.

• Up to and including deadline day, trading is open. Deadline day is a full trading day — a deal proposed, accepted and approved before the deadline passes is valid.
• After the deadline, the window is closed until the next season opens it. Do not leave your season-defining deal for the last hour; approvals take time, and a trade that is not fully approved when the window shuts does not happen.
